TV Listings Block Design
My audience thinks that the best product name that I have suggested is Perdition, the best company name is Decapitation Skateboards and the best font to use would be the first font mentioned in the "Font Design" blog post (named: Monster Child)

Company and Brand Names

Company names

Decapitation Skateboards - has a very dark, underground feel to it which will appeal to our target audience
Death Skateboards - similar dark feel to it but it's much more basic and less interesting
Urban Skateboards - will appeal to general skaters but not necessarily our specific  audience
Heroine Decks - may be seen as bad encouragement
Dark Horse Decks - very dark feel but not very modern

Brand Names
Perdition - Exciting and almost frightening, fits with the both the company name and the target audience
Deliverance - interesting, but maybe to complicated of a word for everyone understand
Hell Series - It gives the right impression but possibly too obvious and simple
Deadly Series - sounds exciting but maybe too common, the name may already be taken by another company
Betrayal - Gives a dark, horror like impression but may be too vague
The most popular Tv Listings magazine is Tv Choice, But it is not necessarily the most expensive. it is the most commonly purchased, Tv choice is quite a cheap magazine but it includes the most popular T.V. shows e.g. eastenders.
Whereas the bottom 3 magazines feature less popular programmes, this does not mean it is a boring magazine, just that it may not feature the most common T.V. shows which people are more interested in.
'National Enquirer' is the least brought magazine, but it may be one of the most expensive, so in this case price does not matter, quality does, the content of the magazine is what makes people buy these magazines.

Describe the technical skills gained?

I have learnt how to use photoshop effectively. This includes use of the colour replacement tool, the transformation tool, the history brush, the magic wand, the magnetic lasso and much more
Describe two challenges you have overcome?

Photograph - I had to find someone who is willing to let me take a photo of them and use it for my media product, he also needed to be able skate.

Technical difficulties - I had to learn how to use a mac computer effectively to complete this task, this proved difficult when faced with more complicated technical issues
Do you feel that the product is suitable for your target audience?

Yes, I researched multiple skateboards and skateboard adverts to get inspiration for for everything from the layout to the product design and name. the feedback from my questionnaire also shows that my audience thinks positively of my product
How has technology helped you to turn your design into a real product?

A digital camera was used to take the photo. Photoshop on the mac computers was used to edit the photo, create the skateboard image and create the advert
How does your finished product compare to the design?

My finished product is almost exactly like my block design and what I imagined it to be, apart from a few size differences

Copyright Laws

When you use a photograph in print production you need to avoid breaking copyright laws. unless you the photographer/owner's permission to use the photograph, it is seen as copyright infringement. Copyright infringement is a serious law and damage funds if it is broken by the use of certain products/media without permission. You need permission directly from companies and people involved in the photo, if taken without their consent, then copyright is broken and fines will be in order.

Company, Brand and Design Proposal

Hello, my name is Joseph Cuncarr and I work with Decapitation Skateboards.
I have decided to create a new series of skateboard decks known as The Perdition Series
Our company was established 3 years ago and has been a successful skateboard brand ever since

Our advertising budget is £250,000 as the advertising will probably be limited to certain sites on the internet like Facebook or other social networks. With this money we can afford professional skaters be part of the advert. the advertising campaign designed to attract those who are passionate and serious about skating. The design is aimed those interested in underground heavy metal.

CAP codes and ASA

My advert fits all the caps codes because it doesnt breach copyright laws as isn't used for commercial purposes, it is not advertising an actual commercial product and is used as school work. It uses a skateboard that has been manipulated to remove the logo and change the design slightly from the original. I used the photoshop tool to remove any past logos off the shoe. It also does not contain anything that would be seen as explicit or encouraging irresponsible behavior
