I think that my finished product quite strongly resembles my original design.
I used photoshop to create my magazine and a digital camera to get my main image.
I believe it is suitable for my target audience because it contains articles about bands that appeal to their type of music.

Evaluation Questions

How does your product compare to your design?
I think the products differs slightly from my original design and what I originally intended, however, I believe the result is better than my original design and will stand out more. The original colours were darker and not as appealing as the ones on my final design

How has technology helped turn your design into a real product?
the product was created in photoshop on the mac computer and uses pictures from the internet, a camera was also used to take the image of me playing a bass guitar. I used multiple layers of both images and text on photoshop so that I could overlap them and edit them separately

Do you feel that the product is suitable for your target audience?
Yes, the product features people and stories that my audience would be interested in, it is very music orientated and my target audience is people who are interested in a specific type of music. they will be attract by the images of musicians from their favorite bands on the cover of the magazine.

What challenges have you overcome?
I had to research into the most popular artists in rock and metal music to make my product suitable for my target audience.
I tried to find a musician that would allow me to take pictures of him, after failing this, I decided to use myself as the model and just directed my brother to take the pictures

Describe the technical skills you have gained
I've have learnt how to use photoshop to a better standard and now understand more about using mac computers. I also learnt more about the popular of artists in the music industry. In photoshop I have learnt to use the magnetic lasso to cut out images, I have learnt how to add effects and borders to the layers and I have learnt how to easily cut out a picture from a white background using the magic wand tool.
